I have always enjoyed using the game “I Have, Who Has…” for math during my Basic Skills sessions. My students also enjoyed playing these games. I decided to make a sight word game, I Have, Who Has” so my first graders could become “Sight Word Wizards!” This will be a fun way to help my students learn and practice their sight words.
In this game, I have my students give the clues by spelling the words. My goal was to encourage my students to recognize the individual letters in the words in addition to becoming familiar with the sight words.
There is a total of 32 cards: 27 game cards, 1 Cover card, Direction cards (3), and a Sight Word List card. (Four cards are printed on each page.) Print the cards on card stock, and you are ready to play! I hope you find this game useful in your primary classroom!
